Shoes

Right now I am toying with the idea of having my bridesmaids wearing a black knee length dress of their choice and purchasing a specific pair of shoes (versus a certain dress). Now if you know me then you know I am obsessed with shoes. Bright shoes, shiney shoes, metallics, flats, heels, I have them all! How great would it be to incorporate my love of shoes by having my bridesmaids wear these shoes from Jcrew?

Sorry mom, I know this isn't the "traditional" look you were going for!

Crazy?

I think I might be getting a little out of control with my wedding planning. Now I know what you are thinking, "Future Mrs. Smith out of control? Never.", but it is true. I am addicted to wedding planning. I feel sorry for my mom and sister because I have probably sent them 10,000 emails talking about myself and my "big day". Sick of me yet?

So far I have paid for an interactive wedding website (the ones on theknot were way too boring for this girl!), accounts at theknot.com and weddingchannel.com, have two wedding planning books (one is Martha Stewarts Keepsake Planner - it was love at first sight), a wedding mapper (most people don't even know what this), colors picked, guest list done, and my favorite flower picked. Did I mention my wedding is over a year away?

The big decisions

I figure blogging can be a fun way to keep my family and friends posted on all my super, awesome, creative ideas for my wedding so I guess I should start with what I have planned so far...

1. Date - May 9th, 2009

2. Church - Grade school church (insert "awwwwwwww" here)

3. Venue - Belo Mansion - can't you just picture me throwing my bouquet off that balcony?

4. Dress & Veil - Sorry but no pics allowed, we wouldn't want Mr. Smith seeing it before the wedding. However, I will tell you that I bought the very first dress I tried on (insert second "awwwww" here)!

Finally!

So... I have wanted to do a blog forever but have been putting it off for a couple of reasons:

1. I am terrible at writing. I can't spell, don't know where to put commas, have no idea when to use semicolons, and I actually had to look up the word grammar in Webster's Dictionary to make sure I spelled it correctly.
2. What if people thought it was boring? (I got over this one quickly. I am hilarious, who wouldn't want to read my blog?)
3. I should be working.

Well looks like I finally got over these excuses so here I go...
